How Claude Is Winning Enterprise AI

TL;DR

Anthropic's route for Claude into enterprises has three parts, teaching people to use it, sending engineers close to customers and relying on partners to reach more companies.

  • The partner network gets $100 million
  • PwC plans to train 30,000 professionals
  • A new company will serve mid-sized firms

Many companies want AI but still do not know how to put it into real business work. Anthropic has built a three-part route for Claude, its AI assistant. It teaches people to use the product, sends specialist engineers close to customers and relies on partners to carry that work into more companies. That route helps explain why Claude keeps showing up in enterprise conversations.

Education comes first, because many organisations have no clear habit for using AI. Staff do not know when to use the tool, and managers do not know where it fits. The company’s Academy offers courses and guides for different levels of use. With PayPal, it has also launched free training for small-business owners on how AI can help with everyday tasks. A course will not transform a company on its own, but it does give employees a shared starting point.

Direct customer work comes next. Anthropic is building a new company with the investment firms Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs to help mid-sized firms bring AI into important operations. Its engineers will work alongside the new company’s engineers to find where AI can have impact, build custom systems and support customers over time. That gives Anthropic a closer view of how organisations work, including their approvals, handoffs, older tools, reporting habits and internal limits. AI becomes useful in a business when those details are understood.

Partners are the third part. The company has committed an initial $100 million for 2026 to its partner network. The programme gives partners training, technical support, certification, sales support and help with customer rollouts. A single AI provider cannot sit inside every company, so trained partners become the route into wider use.

PwC is the clearest example. The two companies have expanded their alliance around Claude, and PwC is launching a business group built on it, called Office of the CFO. It also plans to train and certify 30,000 professionals. Before taking the technology to clients, the firm used it in its own work, on tasks such as journal entries and checking why actual numbers differed from plans. PwC also helped Anthropic’s own finance office with operations, controls and international payroll, which gave both firms a working view of how AI could fit into finance operations.
